I've spent a good part of my life believing that money was the answer to everything. I wanted the expensive cars, designer clothes, hundreds of pairs of sneakers, and the kind of lifestyle that would make people look at me differently.

That obsession with money even got me into serious trouble. And when I eventually started making real money through hard work, I found myself falling into the same habits. Buying things I didn't need, spending ridiculous amounts of money, and constantly chasing more.

But no matter how much I had, something was always missing.

Looking back, what bothers me most isn't the money I wasted. It's the time and attention I failed to give the people who genuinely loved me. My wife, my kids, my grandkids, my mom. They didn't need any of those expensive things. They just wanted me.

Through my relationship with God, I've come to understand what it actually means to be rich. It's not about how much money you make, but the love you give, the people you help, and the purpose behind what you do.

Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with making money, working hard, or enjoying nice things. The problem begins when money becomes the entire purpose of your life.

Today, at 44 years old, I can genuinely say I'm the richest I've ever been, and it has very little to do with my bank account.

My hope is that this episode makes you question what you're really chasing and whether it's bringing you the fulfillment you're looking for.
