Pete Buttigieg is the former United States Secretary of Transportation, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, a Rhodes Scholar, and a Navy veteran who served in Afghanistan. He ran for president in 2020 and is now widely regarded as one of the frontrunners for the Democratic nomination for President in 2028.
