Andrew Morton on the big mistake the King made over Diana row

In Sunday’s bonus episode of The Daily T, Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley speak to Andrew Morton, the unofficial biographer of Diana, Princess of Wales. Morton believes the Palace should not have issued a statement in reaction to Earl Spencer’s memoir on his late sister’s life and death, and says that royal staff who were present at the time of the earl’s conversation with the King in the aftermath of Diana’s death should speak out to confirm what happened. Morton also reflects on his past conversations with Diana, and recalls her own words on her mental health, upbringing and relationship with Charles before she died.
