Having lost his son and his father in the same afternoon, Brad is emotionally at sea which is why having found Ned in the shadows of Dougs death, hes so keen to hang on to him. The two men dont really know each other anymore, a fact brought home by Neds awkwardness around his father. When Lauren spies a distinctive tattoo on Neds chest, she becomes cautious of him.
