Eric tells the police that he loaned Adam money so that he could get away from Steph. Meanwhile, word starts to spread about Adam’s illegal practice, prompting Diane and Shadrach to try and convince Alice to sue the health authority. Elsewhere, the police arrive to take Len’s statement forcing Danny and Edna to admit that they have reported Pearl missing to the police. Len admits to Danny that he still loves Pearl. Driven half mad by grief, Bob locks himself inside Pear Tree Cottage and demands that the Kings admit responsibility for the house collapse.
