‘Farage didn’t know’: Reform rebel blames Zia Yusuf for suspension
18 de agosto de 2026 · 44m
In Tuesday’s episode of The Daily T, Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley speak to Tim Montgomerie, a high-profile Reform UK supporter, who says he will appeal against the party’s decision to suspend him for criticising Nigel Farage and Zia Yusuf.
The Conservative Home website founder tells Camilla and Tim that if “a political organisation can’t take criticism, it can’t advance”, as he warns of the internal rivalries and structural flaws that he believes could prevent Reform from achieving a majority in a general election.
Mr Montgomerie also claims that Mr Farage, the party leader, was not aware of his suspension, and that he believes his criticism of Mr Yusuf is what led to the party’s decision to suspend him.
